Today we received the confirmation for the brick our family purchased at the Delta Flight Museum in memory of my father, Donald Harbin, and I actually got emotional when I saw the certificate.
My dad worked for Delta for over 40 years and in his retirement and up to his death, he continued to support his Delta family by volunteering with the Delta Flight Museum, the Delta Care Fund and as a Delta Pioneer. We even rented the Museum to hold his 80th birthday celebration so that he could share his pride in Delta with all of his friends and family!
So, when we saw the opportunity to memorialize him with a brick and at the same time support a cause that was so dear to his heart, we knew it was the right thing to do. Dad would rather have a brick at Delta than fresh flowers on his gravestone. My mother, brother and his family are all looking forward to visiting the Museum when it reopens and seeing the brick.
