Republic Airlines Captain Jack Daughtry
At the Delta Flight Museum we get donations regularly. Often times we receive wonderful collections from former Delta Family employees. One such collection is that of former Northwest Airlines Captain Jack Daughtry.

Jack Daughtry was an Army pilot out of Fort Benning, Georgia, where he served for four years. During his military career he graduated from Airborne School, Ranger School, and served as a pilot, and then continued in the Army Reserve. While serving at Fort Benning he met Ann Barry, a high school teacher, and a year later they married.

Daughtry flew for Southern Airways in the early 1960s, and then for Republic Airlines when Southern merged with North Central Airlines in 1979. He was recognized for his contributions in bringing together the pilot groups from the two airlines. Less than a decade later, Republic Airlines merged with Northwest Airlines, the airline Captain Daughtry finished his career with in 1992.

Our goal at the Delta Flight Museum is to collect and protect the histories of all Delta Family airlines, such as Southern, Republic and Northwest that Jack Daughtry flew for throughout his career. Generous donations from people like the Daughtry Family make our goals achievable and preserve the legacies of important people within the aviation community.
