This weekend we had a wedding proposal take place at the Museum! Yuri Ridore and Kirstie Brown got engaged on Saturday surrounded by 8 family members. Here is the couple’s story as written by Yuri:
Kirstie and I originally met when we were coworkers. We never really took it to the next level until one day we actually went on a date. Nothing transpired immediately after that, but we remained very close friends. I always knew she had a crush on me and I always knew that something about her was different. I wasn’t really sure what it was until later on at the end of 2012, when we went to a charity event together that Cynthia Bailey was hosting at the Delta Museum. That was the 1st time I really got a chance to connect with the woman I have grown to love with all my heart. It was one of the many times and places we have enjoyed with each other until this present day.
This place holds a great deal of sentimental value to me. First off, it is the place where we actually started our dating/relationship. I figured it would only be right to come back to the place it all started to close one chapter of our life and open up another, beginning the next chapter of our long life together.
We wish the couple a very happy future together and are honored to be a part of their story. Here’s to a life of happiness for Yuri and Kirstie!
