Delta has been collecting its history since the 1950s. As early employees retired, the airline realized it was losing important corporate memories. Harriette Speer Parker of Delta’s public relations department founded the Delta Archives.
Since 1996, the Museum has professionally managed Delta’s archival records and the items gifted by donors to the Museum. Extensive holdings include:
- Records from airlines in Delta's Family Tree
- Photographs
- Flight schedules
- Airport and in-flight equipment
- Flight attendant uniforms
